The South American snapping turtle (Chelydra acutirostris)[1] is a species of turtle in the family Chelydridae.[1] This species was previously considered a subspecies of Chelydra serpentina.[1]

Geographic range

It is found in the coutries of: Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.[1]

Subspecies

No subspecies are recognized.[1][2]
