Plot
With Doraemon's "Storybook Shoes" gadget, he and Nobita go to different stories to watch them. Nobita asks Doraemon to allow him to share this gadget with Shizuka and Doraemon agrees. While going to call Shizuka from her home, Gian and Suneo catch him and use his shoes to go into the stories. Nobita leaves them and goes to call Shizuka. On the other hand, Gian and Suneo mix up all the story books and before Nobita came they left. When Nobita and Shizuka jump into the story, they get surprised to see that all the stories have got mixed. Both Nobita and Shizuka decide to leave but Shizuka accidentally loses her shoes and remain in the story book. Nobita goes out and his mother burns all the story books, so that Nobita will get rid of them. When Nobita comes to know that all the books are burned and Shizuka is still in the book, he Doraemon, Gian and Suneo go back in time to the Ancient Baghdad to search for her where they meet Caliph Harun al-Rashid.
They tell him that they are merchants and are coming from India. There they meet many people to help but no one at that time knows that Doraemon and the team came from future and how Shizuka is lost. Unknown to them, they tried to get the help of an old man who was actually a bandit. He and his other friend buy a ship and when Doraemon and all his friends are sleeping they throw them to the sea. When they wake up they find themselves at the desert. Here Doraemon loses his pocket which is then found by a bandit. On their way, they find a cave which leads them into the story of the Arabian Nights. There they take the help of the character Sindbad the Sailor who is now an old but a brave and strong king of a palace made of gold to find Shizuka. Sindbad uses his flying carpet to search the desert and Shizuka is found to be under the custody of a merchant who has enslavd her. Sindbad saves Shizuka and warns the merchant Abdul.
After a few days Abdul now joins by group of the three bandits who found the cave to Arabian Nights. There they capture the big jinn which causes Sindbad and the group to run. After ten days they return and fight with Abdul and win, thus the story end with group taking Shizuka back to their own time period.
