The Great Window in Parliament Hall The window was installed on 1868 and consists of 8,000 pieces of stained glass covering 390 square feet. It depicts the founding of the Court of Session in 1532 and shows King James V presenting the Charter of Institution and Confirmation by Pope Clement VII to the first Lord President. On the right of the King is his mother Queen Margaret widow of King James IV. Photography not normally permitted but taken during an 'Open Doors Day'.
