Summary

An <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Anther" class="mw-redirect" title="Anther">anther</a> from the genus <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Solanum" title="Solanum">Solanum</a>. Pollen is released from pores at its tip, unlike most flower anthers which split open. Most Solanum anthers are like this, but not all. Similar anthers can also be found in other genera. The stamens are often terminal pored for buzz pollination by bees.
