St Peter's Church, Edensor, Chatsworth Estate Built in 1870 and designed by the architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. Joseph Paxton, the 6th Duke's head gardener and designer of the Crystal Palace, is buried in the churchyard. The Dukes of Devonshire tombs are also in the churchyard, and the remains of Kathleen Kennedy, sister of the late President J.F Kennedy. She was killed in a plane crash shortly after her husband, Lord Hartington, had been killed in the Second World War.
