Low Level Owl: Volume II is technically the Appleseed Cast's fourth album, though it was released just two months after Low Level Owl: Volume I. The albums are similar in sound, mood and style, but the second volume is arguably more instrumental-based than the first volume, with "Sunset Drama King" and "The Argument" showing heavy post-rock influences.
The albums met with a considerable degree of acclaim, and the band found themselves saddled with the term "America's closest answer to Radiohead".[1]
The vinyl release was a 3-disc set also containing Low Level Owl: Volume I.
