The 1992 New Zealand National Basketball League season was the 11th running of the competition. The Canterbury Rams won the championship in 1992 to claim their fourth league title.[1] The Rams qualified in fourth place for the six-team finals and defeated Otago in the quarter-finals and Hutt Valley in the semi-finals to book a spot in the decider. Canterbury's grand final experience proved decisive, overcoming Palmerston North by eight points (79–71).[2]
