The 2023 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships were the 25th such event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams participated at several levels of competition. The competition also served as qualifications for the 2024 competition.[1]

As in 2022, teams from Russia and Belarus were not allowed to enter, as they were suspended by the IIHF due to the countries' invasion of Ukraine.[2]

Championship (Top Division)

The tournament was held in Brampton, Canada from 5 to 16 April 2023.[3][4]

The tournament was scheduled to be held in Shenzhen, China from 11 to 17 April 2023, but in March 2023, it was postponed.[3][6][7] On 22 March, it was rescheduled and was held between 20 and 26 August 2023.[8]
