All Saints College, St. Joseph's Campus is a coeducational secondary day school catering for years 7 to 10, in the village of Lochinvar, New South Wales, Australia. All Saints College was created in 1990 by the amalgamation of Catholic secondary schools in the area, St. Joseph's along with St. Peter's and St. Mary's in nearby Maitland.
St. Joseph's is one of the oldest schools in New South Wales, and in Australia.[citation needed] The Sisters of St. Joseph, founded by Fr Julian Tension Woods, established their first school[vague] at Lochinvar in 1883.
The first lay principal was Helen Hemphill (1990–1994) followed Michael Healy in 1995, who left the school at the end of 2004. Peter Hamill was the next principal until 2005. The current Executive is composed of a Principal, Paul Greaves and two Assistant Principals, Nicholas Wickham and David Crawford.
The Campus motto is the Latin phrase "Vigor in Ardius Crescat" which translates as "May your strength increase in difficulties".
School life
The school day at St Joseph's Lochinvar starts at 8:50 am and ends at 3:20pm. The students attend 6 periods from Monday to Thursday and only 4 on Friday as they attend sport every Friday afternoon. Every second Friday morning the school leaders hold a whole school assembly under the COLA (Covered Outdoor Learning Area) which was constructed in mid-2009.
Sport
St Joseph's is renowned for its sporting programs,[citation needed] particularly in regards to rugby league. The rugby league sides are quite successful as they are coached by a former NRL player, Scott Asimus.
