The Alpine musk deer (Moschus chrysogaster) is a species of musk deer. It occurs in the highlands of central China, south and west to the Himalayas in India, Nepal and Bhutan. Two subspecies are recognized:

- M. c. sifanicus, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, western Sichuan, and northwestern Yunnan
Records from the Himalayan foothills are now considered a separate species, the Himalayan musk deer.
