Animation Academy is an attraction at the Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney California Adventure, Walt Disney Studios Park and DisneyQuest. It is also one of the latest attractions of Hong Kong Disneyland.
The attraction was opened with DisneyQuest on its opening in 1998. It was also recently added to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's California Adventure. It can be found within Art of Disney Animation at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris. The attraction opened in Hong Kong Disneyland on July 14, 2007, where it is located next to the Opera House in Main Street, USA.
The attraction itself is a drawing session with a Disney animator who teaches guests to draw a Disney character. Guests may take their own artwork home after the drawing session.
Beginning January 7, 2015, the Animation Academy at Disney California Adventure gave exclusive lessons on how to draw either Olaf or Marshmallow from Disney's Frozen, as part of the park's "Frozen Fun" event, which ran through May 15, 2015.[2]
