Antonia of Florence

Blessed Antonia was born in Florence in 1402. She got married, but her husband died in 1428. Then she entered the convent of Third Order of Saint Francis founded by Blessed Angeline. Few years later Antonia became the superior in Foligno. Then she established a new monastery in L'Aquila. She died in 1472. Many miracles has occurred at her tomb and her body is incorrupt up to this day, with her eyes still open. She was beatified by Pope Pius IX.
