Armoor or Armur is a town and a Mandal in Nizamabad district in the state of Telangana in India.[1] It was recently upgraded to a municipality. Armoor is situated on NH 7 in (Hyderabad-Nagpur) Section on {North-south Highway Corridor} and NH 16 (Nizamabad-Jagdalpur).It is one of the major towns in Nizamabad district. It is known for its agriculture. Turmeric is grown on a large scale and commercial seeds like Sorghum and Pearl Millet are grown.

Major languages spoken in this area are Telugu, Hindi, Patkari, Urdu and English. Telugu is the native language for most residents. Patkari (Khatri) is a dialect spoken by a major section of people.

Nizamabad Railway station is the nearest railway station, 25 km from Armoor. Another rail track from Jagtiyal will connect Armoor latest by 2016.[3]
