Brandon Smith (born March 12, 1992), better known by his stage name B. Smyth, is an American hip hop and R&B recording artist from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Early life

Brandon Smith was born on March 12, 1992 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He began publishing his own covers of popular songs, including "Stay" by Rihanna and "Quickie" by Miguel, at age 17. Some of his covers have received over 100,000 views on YouTube. His videos led to him performing at various high-profile talent shows, where his style drew comparisons to prominent artists Chris Brown and Usher.[2]

Musical career

His success at talent shows landed Smith a record deal with Motown Records in 2012. He released his debut single, "Leggo" featuring 2 Chainz, on December 11, 2012. The song peaked at #41 on the U.S. R&B Songs List, and #20 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles list.[3]

One of his first singles is "Vibe", which is a version of R. Kelly's early hit single She's Got That Vibe.

Smith released his first album "The Florida Files EP" on October 15, 2013, featuring his second single, "Win Win" featuring Future. The song was produced by Mike Will Made It.

On December 4th, 2015, Smith released his single "Creep" featuring Young Thug. The song was produced by Dun Deal. [4]
