Breakthrough Entertainment is a Canadian production company founded in 1986 by Peter Williamson and Ira Levy. It produces famous Canadian TV shows such as Jimmy Two-Shoes and Atomic Betty.
On July 10, 2018, 9 Story Media Group acquired Breakthrough Entertainment's kids and family library and development slate.[1]

In early 2022, Breakthrough Entertainment claimed bankruptcy leaving a total of over $2,200,000 Canadian dollars unpaid to producers and production companies for which they were acting as International Distributors. While Shareholder and Executive Producer Levy bought development assets and transferred rights to his own personal entity.
