Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Da'i (Arabic: "missionary") refers to a person who engages in Dawah, the act of inviting people to Islam. Da'i is different from Da'i al-Mutlaq, which means dai with independent special power. Da'i al-Mutlaq can be called dai but every da'i is not Da'i al-Mutlaq. Example: Da'i Shirazi was not Da'i al-Mutlaq, but Da'i Zoeb was Da'i al-Mutlaq.[1]
