The following 36 organisations from 35 European countries are members of EFP:[8]

History

EFP was founded in 1997 by managing director Renate Rose at the Berlin International Film Festival.[9] Having started with 10 founding members the network has meanwhile been extended to 36 promotion and export organisations from 35 European countries.[10]

Partners

EFP is supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union[11] and by the EFP member organisations. Promotion and PR activities are backed by the Centre National de la Cinematographie et de l'image animée (CNC)[12] as well as by private sponsors. The [Hamburg]-based office is subsidised by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and the Media of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.[13]
