Hasan Âli Yücel
Hasan Âli Yücel (born 17 December in Istanbul (originally from Görele) 1897 – died 26 February 1961) was the former minister of education of Turkey, who served from December 1938 to August 1946. (11th government of Turkey) He is well known for his reforms in the education system, and the foundation of Village Institutes. He was the father of Can Yücel, a famous poet in Turkey.
In 1997, UNESCO was associated with the celebration of the centenary of his birth.[1]
