On Sunday, June 11, 2023, 6:20 AM EDT[1] a tanker fire under the overpass carrying I-95 at the Pennsylvania Route 73 (Cottman Avenue) interchange in Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania United States caused the northbound lanes to collapse and damaged the southbound lanes, resulting in the closure of both directions between the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue and Pennsylvania Route 63 (Woodhaven Road).[2][3]
Following the collapse, SEPTA announced that it will increase services capacity on Trenton Line, West Trenton Line, and Fox Chase Line starting June 12.[4]
