James Johnson[1] (born February 25, 1943) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives since January 11, 2005 representing District 16.[2]

Education

Johnson earned his AS from Goldey–Beacom College.

Elections

  • 2014 Ran against Republican Greg Coverdale.
  • 2012 Johnson was unopposed for the September 11, 2012 Democratic Primary and won the November 6, 2012 General election with 7,613 votes (96.5%) against Libertarian candidate John Machurek.[3]
  • 2004 When Democratic Representative William I. Houghton retired and left the District 16 seat open, Johnson won the September 11, 2004 Democratic Primary with 1,136 votes (42.8%),[4] and won the November 2, 2004 General election with 5,823 votes (81.5%) against Republican nominee James Stockwell.[5]
  • 2006 Johnson was unopposed for both the September 12, 2006 Democratic Primary and the November 7, 2006 General election, winning with 4,221 votes.[6]
  • 2008 Johnson was unopposed for both the September 9, 2008 Democratic Primary and the November 4, 2008 General election, winning with 7,078 votes.[7]
  • 2010 Johnson was unopposed for both the September 17, 2010 Democratic Primary and the November 2, 2010 General election, winning with 5,328 votes.[8]
