The James Semple House is a historic home within what is now known as Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia. Its design is attributed to Thomas Jefferson and it was built in 1770.[4]
Future U.S. president John Tyler, a relative of the Semples, resided here while attending school.
It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1970.[3][4]
