Jerry Kiernan
Jeremiah ("Jerry") Kiernan (born May 31, 1953 in Listowel) is a former long-distance runner from Ireland.

Biography
He represented his native country at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California, where he finished in ninth place in the men's marathon. His team mate John Treacy claimed silver in the same race. Kiernan twice won the Dublin Marathon: 1982 and 1992. A former Irish record holder over 3000 metres, Kiernan was also a sub-four-minute mile runner.
Kiernan is a supporter of Shamrock Rovers and member of FC Barcelona and speaks almost fluent Italian. He retired from teaching at St. Brigid's Boys School, Foxrock, in June 2013 where he was a teacher for approximately 40 years. He lives in Rathgar, Dublin 6.
