Critical response
Tulloch's books have received mixed reviews, from "wholly absorbing" (Guardian) to "somewhat forced" (Telegraph). His most recent book, Mr McCool, was described as an "epic tale" (Welovethisbook.com) The Season Ticket won the Betty Trask Award.
Personal life
Jonathan was born in Cumbria, but has lived in Gateshead, Bagby, and Africa. He is a Christian. He has one brother, and is married with one child.
