Kadakkarappally is a village in Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala.[1] This is a panchayat which comes under the Cherthala Assembly constituency. The village became famous due to the Thankey church. Thankey is a great pilgrim center comes under this village. millions are coming here to get the blessing of the Jesus and the miraculous statue.
The village's name is known for being the site of a shipwreck called The Kadakkarapally Boat. Archaeological excavation determined that the flat-bottomed boat dated to AD 920 –1270.
