Kristofer Hivju (born December 7, 1978) is a Norwegian film actor, producer and writer, known for his roles of Tormund Giantsbane in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones,[2] and Jonas in the 2011 film The Thing. In 2004, he graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Aarhus, Denmark.
In 2015, Wyndham Hotel Group signed Hivju to serve as “Wyndham Rewards Wyzard” for its launch of a new loyalty program. The loyalty campaign was conceived and produced in partnership with People Ideas & Culture’s Group Company CY&N by PI&C.[3]
Personal life
He is the son of Norwegian actor Erik Hivju, and the cousin of French actress Isabelle Nanty.[4]
