Lachlan Edwards (born April 27, 1992) is an Australian American football punter for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He played college football at Sam Houston State. Edwards was drafted in the seventh round (235th overall) by the New York Jets in the 2016 NFL Draft.

College career
University of Ballarat
Prior to his immigration to the United States for the 2013 season, Edwards played Australian rules football in his native Australia for Ballarat, where he was selected to the 2012 All-Australian University team. He also playing rugby, cricket, and track and field.
Sam Houston University
Edwards was selected to the All-Southland Conference First-team and Sports Network FCS All-America third team. Edwards led the NCAA and with 44.4 punting average.
Professional career
New York Jets
On April 30, 2016, Edwards was drafted by the New York Jets in the 7th round (235th overall) in the 2016 NFL Draft.[1]
