Lapemis is a genus of sea snakes. It contains only two members:
- Shaw's sea snake, Lapemis curtus (Shaw, 1802)
- Spine-bellied sea snake, Lapemis hardwickii Gray, 1834
In 1990 Voris and Gritis determined that these two species are not distinct. [1]
Both members are very venomous, as with most sea snakes. They are found in the Indo-Pacific ocean.[2]
