Lida Kittrell Barrett (born May 21, 1927) is an American mathematician and educator.

Life
She was born in Houston, Texas on May 21, 1927. She earned her baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees in mathematics from Rice University, the University of Texas, and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively.[1]
Career
She taught briefly at the Texas State College for Women in Denton.[2]
Honors and awards
From 1979 to 1982, Barrett chaired the American Mathematical Society's Committee on Employment and Educational Policy. She was the second woman president of the Mathematical Association of America.[1] She is a fellow of the American Mathematical Society.[3]
