Line 13 is an east-west line of the Shanghai Metro network. It is partially in operation: the western section between Jinyun Road and Shibo Avenue is open. The rest of the line is still under construction. The line is colored pink on system maps.

The Phases
Special Phase
The Special Phase of Line 13 was run between Madang Road and Shibo Avenue, during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. After the Expo ended, this phase was closed afterwards.
1st Phase
The 1st Phase of Line 13 will run between Jinyun Road and Nanjing West Road, with 14 stations through four Shanghai districts. It is constructed in parts; the western section from Jinyun Road to Jinshajiang Road has opened in December 2012[2] and the remaining stations will open in December 2015. Tunnel excavation began in September 2009.[3]
2nd Phase
The 2nd Phase will run from Huaihai Middle Road in the CBD to Zhangjiang Road in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park region. The stations up to Shibo Avenue will open in December 2015.
