List of rural communities in New Brunswick

A rural community is a type of quasimunicipality[lower-alpha 1] in the Canadian Province of New Brunswick.
In 2012, New Brunswick had five rural communities that had a cumulative population of 11,310 and an average population of 2,262 in the 2011 Census.[2] New Brunswick's largest and smallest rural communities are Beaubassin East and Saint-André with populations of 6,200 and 819 respectively.[2]
The total amount of rural communities increased to seven in 2014 with the incorporation of Cocagne and Hanwell. Both became rural communities on May 23, 2014.[3][4]
