Lundey, literally "Puffin Island" in Icelandic, is a small, uninhabited island off the western coast of Reykjavík, Iceland. It is about 400 meters long and 150 meters wide. Its highest point lies about 14 meters above sea level. The island serves as a haven for seabirds, including Atlantic puffins, black guillemots, fulmars and Arctic terns. Frequent sightseeing tours from nearby Sundahöfn harbor travel here by boat, as puffins and other seabirds have become a major tourist attraction in Iceland.[1]
There are two other islands known as Lundey in Iceland: one in Skagafjörður fjörd and the other in Skjálfandi bay, both in north Iceland.
