Mátészalka is a town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary.
Geography
It covers an area of 41.81 km2 (16 sq mi) and has a population of 17,015 people (2011).
The town was the birthplace of actor Tony Curtis' father.
