The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Year is a basketball award given to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's most outstanding player. The award was first given following the 1981–82 season. Three players have won the award multiple times: Steve Burtt and Luis Flores each won twice, while Lionel Simmons won three times. Simmons, along with winning his third MAAC Player of the Year award, was also the consensus National Player of the Year in 1990.
Unlike most other Division I conferences' men's basketball player of the year awards, there has never been a tie in the MAAC award's history. Of current member schools, only the two schools that joined in 2013, Monmouth and Quinnipiac, have never had a winner.
