Mike Zane Lindstrom (born April 23, 1981 in Chilliwack, British Columbia) is a former professional Canadian football receiver who most recently played for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. He was drafted by the BC Lions in the fifth round of the 2006 CFL Draft and spent that season on the practice roster before being released after the 2007 training camp.[1] He signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in August 2007.[2] He played CIS Football for the UBC Thunderbirds and was named to the Canada West All-Star and 2nd Team All-Canadian squads in 2005.[3] In 21 CIS games he recorded 84 receptions for 1,438 yards and 5 touchdowns.[4] Since moving on from his career in football Mike followed his true passion for acting/theater and quickly rose through the ranks of Hollywood to become Billy Zane's stunt and body double. Mike is known primarily for his work in The Scorpion King 3 and for attempting to raise funding for a potential Titanic sequel where he would star as Caledon 'Cal' Hockley. During his acting career Mike was nominated for The Screen Actors Guild Award once but had his name taken out of the running due to an incorrectly timed venture to "grab some fresh air". The road to the upper echelon of society wasn't easy for Mike but with his Cheshire smile and the ability to name every Capital City in the world some would say he may just have made it. He can now be seen at local pubs like the Lennox and occasionally the Legion where is well known in the Veteran community.
