More Fire Crew was an East London-based English grime crew from Waltham Forest, and was one of the first crews in the grime scene.
The crew was formed by Ozzie B and Lethal Bizzle; they attended secondary school together. Ozzie and Lethal soon joined up with their friend Seani B, who was a DJ on Amy FM. Meanwhile, More Fire's third prospective member Neeko met Ozzie B in an sound engineering training programme. More Fire Crew would hosted a show on Deja Vu FM, one of London's biggest pirate radio stations at the time.[1]
They are best known for their track "Oi!" in 2002 which reached number 7 in UK Singles Chart.[2] In 2002 their first album, More Fire Crew CV, was released, and they contributed a cover of Gabrielle's "Dreams" to the album NME & Warchild Presents 1 Love.[3] In the same year they were dropped by their record label, with Lethal setting up his own eponymous record label and going on to a successful solo career.[4]
Callum Snell produced most of the tracks for More Fire Crew between 2003 to 2005.
In 2005, after being dropped by their label and a personal falling out between Lethal Bizzle and Neeko, More Fire Crew disbanded. Lethal Bizzle and Ozzie B formed a successor crew known as Fire Camp,[5] alongside MCs such as 2Face, Knowedge and Clipson. In May 2007, Lethal Bizzle stated that there would be no further new material from More Fire Crew.[5][6]
