Nick Vannett (born March 6, 1993) is an American football tight end for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Seahawks in the third round, 94th overall of the 2016 NFL draft. Vannet played his college football at Ohio State.

Early years

Vannett attended Westerville Central High School in Westerville, Ohio where he graduated in 2011.[1] Vannett was an all-metro, all-OCC and all-district selections. Vannett had 47 receptions for 606 yards and eight touchdowns in his senior season.

College

Ohio State Buckeyes

Vannett committed to Ohio State on June 30, 2010 and signed his letter of intent February 2, 2011.[1] Vannett redshirted his first year at Ohio State but play the next four seasons playing in 53 games totaling 55 receptions, 585 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.[2] Prior to his senior season, Vannett was ranked as 1st tight end prospect by ESPN NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay.[3]

Seattle Seahawks

On April 29, 2016, Vannett was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round (94th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.[5] On May 6, 2016, Vannett signed a 4-year deal worth $2.9 million overall with a $656,880 bonus.[6]

Vannett graduated with a degree in sport industry.[2]
