Peter Wood (8 October 1925 – 11 February 2016) was an English theatre and film director.

Amongst his early stage work was direction of Harold Pinter's debut work, The Birthday Party at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith, and later Joe Orton's Loot.[1] He was also responsible for regularly directing premiere productions of plays by Tom Stoppard, from Jumpers (1972) to Hapgood (1988).[2]
