Pleasant Lake is an unincorporated community in Steuben Township, Steuben County, Indiana.

Pleasant Lake was originally called Nipcondish, which means "pleasant waters." The town is named after the lake which is the focus of the town. There is a well-maintained beach just behind the local elementary school.
Since the town is unincorporated, it falls under the jurisdiction of Steuben County government.
Activities focus around the three churches (United Methodist, Mennonite and Baptist), baseball, swimming, Lions Club events, and the local volunteer fire department. It is an agriculture-oriented society.
Several local businesses that have survived the ravages of urbanization, loss of jobs, and flight of young people in search of jobs and careers. These tend to be entrepreneurial in nature and individual proprietorships. They consist of auto dealers and repair, a wholesale bait shop, a taxidermist, several home builders and construction builders, and small-scale specialty bird breeders.
