Pleasant Vale Township is located in Pike County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 573 and it contained 286 housing units.[1] The town of New Canton is in this township.

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 38.98 square miles (101.0 km2), of which 38.97 square miles (100.9 km2) (or 99.97%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.026 km2) (or 0.03%) is water.[1]
