The City of Bankstown is a city and Local Government Area in south-west Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It consists of a number of suburbs including Bass Hill, Greenacre, Georges Hall and Milperra, among others. The City is bounded by the City of Parramatta and Auburn Council to the north, the City of Fairfield and the City of Liverpool to the west, the Sutherland Shire to the south, and the City of Canterbury, the City of Hurstville and the Municipality of Strathfield to the east.
Bankstown has one of the most ethnically diverse communities in Australia. Home to a large Lebanese community, Bankstown also boasts large populations of Greek, Chinese, Vietnamese and Slavic migrants. In all, over 60 different languages are spoken. Bankstown is considered as one of the most multicultural areas in the country.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (formerly "Bulldogs", "Canterbury Bulldogs" and "Sydney Bulldogs") are a professional rugby league club in the National Rugby League (NRL), the premier rugby league football competition in Australia.
To date, 690 first-grade players have worn the blue and white of the Bulldogs.
Based in Belmore, a suburb of Sydney, the Bulldogs in 1935 were admitted to the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition, a predecessor of the current NRL competition.
The Bulldogs won their first premiership in just their fourth season (1938). At the time it made them the quickest club (barring the founding clubs) to win a premiership after admission to the competition, a record which was only recently beaten in 1999 by the Melbourne Storm. They won a second premiership in 1942 but then had to wait another 38 years before breaking through for a third title in 1980. During the 80s, the Bulldogs were a dominant force in the competition appearing in five Grand Finals, winning four of them. In the 90s they featured in the 1995 and 1998 Grand Finals, winning the former. Their most recent success was in 2004 when they beat the Sydney Roosters 16 - 13. The tryscorers were Hazem El Masri and Matt Utai, and the Clive Churchill Medal winner was Willie Mason.
Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Box-header/colours' not found. Sasho Petrovski (born March 5, 1975) is an Australian football (soccer) player with Macedonian ancestry. He is a striker who currently plays for the Central Coast Mariners in the Hyundai A-League.
He has the honour for having scored the second hat trick in the A-League, one day after the first was scored. In the old National Soccer League, Petrovski played 94 games and scored 47 goals.
He played for Viborg FF in the Danish Superliga and has two caps for the Australian national team. He made his international debut against Japan in 2001 and scored his first international goal in the Asian Cup qualifier between Australia and Kuwait at Aussie Stadium on 16 August 2006.
