Gordon is the debut album by Canadian band Barenaked Ladies. It was released through Sire Records on July 28, 1992. After The Yellow Tape was certified platinum in Canada, the group won a contest hosted by a local radio station.
With the winnings, Barenaked Ladies was able to hire producer Michael Phillip Wojewoda and record the album at Le Studio, north of Montreal. Though most of the album was recorded without incident, difficulty with "The King of Bedside Manor" caused the band to record the track naked—a tradition they would continue on other albums.

Mad Mad World is the first solo album by Canadian singer Tom Cochrane, originally released in 1991. The first single from the album, "Life Is a Highway", became a hit in late 1991, reaching #1 in Canada and #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
The album earned Cochrane four Juno Awards including Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year. In addition, Cochrane won two SOCAN Awards and an ASCAP Award. Mad Mad World achieved a Diamond sales award in Canada for selling more than 1 million copies in Cochrane's native Canada.

Fully Completely is the third full-length album by Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip. It reached #1 on the RPM Top 100 albums chart, their second album to do so. It was certified diamond in Canada in January 2007. The album is listed at #5 on The Top 100 Canadian Albums by Bob Mersereau and #9 on The Top 102 Modern Rock Albums of All Time by 102.1 The Edge.
The album was released in October 1992 and produced by Chris Tsangarides. The cover art was designed by Dutch artist Lieve Prins. Prins, an "electrographer" who makes art with photocopiers, had the band photocopy various parts of their bodies and then made a collage with the results. The original wall-sized piece is on display at The Bathouse Recording Studio.

Oscar Peterson and The Trumpet Kings - Jousts is a 1974 album by Oscar Peterson consisting of duets with the trumpeters, Peterson had recently recorded individual albums with each of the trumpeters.
Oscar Emmanuel Peterson, was a Canadian jazz pianist and composer. He was called the "Maharaja of the keyboard" by Duke Ellington, "O.P." by his friends, and was a member of jazz royalty. He released over 200 recordings, won seven Grammy Awards, and received other numerous awards and honours over the course of his career. He is considered to have been one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time.

Surfacing is multi-platinum album by Sarah McLachlan, released in 1997. Building a Mystery a fan favourite song from the album, was an immediate Top-40, Soft AC, and Hot AC hit which paved the grounds for her future songs "Sweet Surrender", "Adia", and "Angel", all from the Surfacing album. It peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The album received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album, which was awarded to James Taylor's Hourglass, however the singer won the Best Pop Instrumental Performance award for the track "Last Dance" at the Grammy Awards of 1998.

Jagged Little Pill is the third studio album (and the first to be released internationally) by Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette. The album is considered one of the most successful albums of all time for its many commercial achievements, received awards and cultural resonance, worldwide. The album garnered great success, spending twelve non-consecutive weeks at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart, and became one of only six albums to remain in the top ten for over a year.
In 1997 she was nominated for two more Grammy Awards: "Record of the Year" and "Best Music Video, Short Form" for "Ironic". The video Jagged Little Pill, Live won a 1998 Grammy Award for "Best Long Form Music Video". In 2003, the album was ranked number 327 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. By 2009, the album had sold 33 million units worldwide.

Five Days in July is a 1993 album by Blue Rodeo, that has been certified six times platinum as of 2008. The album was recorded on singer/guitarist Greg Keelor's farm in Southern Ontario in July 1992.
While the band originally intended for the recordings to serve only as demos, they found that the songs had a warmth and spontaneity that warranted releasing the collection as an album. Guest musicians on the album include Sarah McLachlan and Colin Linden. To date Blue Rodeo have 12 full-length releases along with multiple solo albums, side projects, and collaborations.

Spiritual Machines is the fourth studio album by Canadian alternative rock band Our Lady Peace, released by Columbia Records in December 2000.
Although not initially intended, the project evolved into a conceptual interpretation of futurist and inventor Raymond Kurzweil's 1999 book The Age of Spiritual Machines. Short tracks of spoken dialog from Kurzweil himself are interspersed among the actual songs on the album. The Kurzweil K250 keyboard, one of his inventions, was utilized throughout the recording of the album.

Nikki is an album by Canadian jazz-pop singer Nikki Yanofsky. The song "I Believe" written by Stephan Moccio and Alan Frew, was CTV's official song of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
"I Believe" reached number one on the Canadian Hot 100 February 27, 2010. "I Believe" was the first song from a Canadian album to top the new chart in nearly three years, after Avril Lavigne's single "Girlfriend" reached number one in March 2007.

Steppenwolf is the first album created by Steppenwolf, released in January 1968 on ABC Dunhill Records. The album was a successful debut for the band, featuring the songs "Born to Be Wild", as well as "The Pusher", both of which were used in the 1969 movie Easy Rider. "Berry Rides Again" is a song tribute to guitarist Chuck Berry.
Steppenwolf had its roots in a Toronto blues-influenced rock band called The Sparrows, which was established in 1964. German born frontman, John Kay, has become a Canadian citizen and was the only member of Steppenwolf to be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
