Shreya Ghoshal (born 12 March 1984) is an Indian playback singer. The genres of her music consists of Ghazal, classical, pop, filmi and bhajan. She has own dozens of awards and nominations. She has received four National Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards, five for Best Female Playback and one for RD Burman Award for New Music Talent in 2003 and eight Filmfare Awards South (2 for Kannada & Tamil, 1 for Telugu and 3 for Malayalam) till date. She has recorded songs for film music in various Indian languages, and has established herself as a leading playback singer of Indian cinema. At the age of sixteen, she was noticed by film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali when she participated and won the television singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Following that, she made her Bollywood playback singing debut with Bhansali's romantic drama Devdas (2002) for which she received a National Award and a Filmfare Award. Her first studio album was Bendhechhi Beena, which was released on 1 January 1998, with 14 tracks. Apart from playback singing, Ghoshal has also been appearing on several television reality shows, serving as a judge. She has also been honored from the U.S. state of Ohio, where governor Ted Strickland declared 26 June as "Shreya Ghoshal Day". She has also featured three times in Forbes’ list of the top 100 celebrities of India.

Ustad & the Divas is a compilation album, which was released on 26 November 2006 and is Ghoshal's ninth studio album. It is composed by Sandesh Shandilya, which brings three singers, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Chitra, together with the Ustad Sultan Khan. The album has a total of 10 tracks and is one of the popular album among her albums.

"Dola Re Dola" is a song composed by Ismail Darbar with lyrics provided by Nusrat Badr, and sung by Shreya Ghoshal, Kavita Krishnamurthy and KK. The song was well received, becoming a hit. The song is from the 2002 Indian romantic drama film Devdas. The video of the song is shot in the studios built with a lavish and expensive set. The song became an instant hit and received numerous awards in categories of singing and choreography. The song won 2 Filmfare Awards, 1 International Indian Film Academy Awards, 1 Zee Cine Awards and 1 National Film Awards.
