Rutilus prespensis is a roach, a freshwater fish of the Cyprinidae family. This fish is described as an independent species from a single lake in the Balkans, Lake Prespa, which extends to Albania, Greece, and Macedonia.[1] It occurs near shores and in shallow, swampy areas of the lake, and grows up to 17 cm length.[2]
