STAR TV Chinese Channel (Chinese: 衛星電視中文台) is a 24-hour of Chinese variety and entertainment television channel in Hong Kong and Singapore owned by STAR TV showcases television series and music video. This channel is a 24-hour Chinese satellite television channel showing in Mandarin Chinese content from the Singapore and Hong Kong with SCTV being the Indonesian national privately held company commercial free-to-air terrestrial television channel and its Republic of Indonesia counterpart was Amanah Surga Productions and Indonesia was SCTV. But after STAR TV ended its partnership with Amanah Surga Productions, STAR TV Chinese Channel will be telecast the 2014 Indonesian nightlife television series Ganteng Ganteng Serigala (from SCTV) with Indonesian dubbed and Chinese subtitles while Channel NewsAsia simulcasts of English news bulletin at 22:00 SST with title as Singapore Tonight.

History

Launched (First Telecast)

STAR TV Chinese Channel was launched on Sunday, 1 November 2015 at 20:00 HKT with a Singapore/Chinese national anthem, station ident, today of television programme listings schedule, first television programmes by Indonesian nightlife television series Ganteng Ganteng Serigala (dubbed in Indonesian and subtitles in Chinese). The launching ceremony on the same day at 20:00 HKT and was broadcast on the channel at 21:00 HKT.

Grand Launching of STAR TV Chinese Channel was officially launched by Governor of Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama together with Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong, Mayor of Shanghai Yang Xiong, former Chief Executive of Hong Kong Donald Tsang, Minister for Communications and Information Yaacob Ibrahim and chief executive officer of STAR TV Richard Li on Sunday, 1 November 2015 at 20:00 HKT and television broadcast at 21:00 HKT from the Hong Kong Disneyland to officially opened by the pressed in the holding digital technology by Demi Lovato with Doraemon launching on LED display in HD by Grand Theft Auto V key people of Kim Kardashian with opening scenes title "Welcome to STAR TV Chinese Channel" of this grand event featuring national and international singers such as Lea Michele, GEM, Kelly Chen, Prilly Latuconsina, Mikha Tambayong, grand piano Rachel Amanda (musical), Dellie Threesyadinda (sportivo) and Rowan Atkinson as "Mr. Bean" (comedy).

Its schedule consists of some locally made in news bulletin from Channel NewsAsia. It signed an agreement with Singapore's UFO Record, allowing its access to that music record label's programming. It also relayed Channel NewsAsia with English news bulletin.

STAR TV Chinese Channel broadcast from round the clock in daily of outside airs in Chinese overseas channel.

Live hours in English news programmes it will show Channel NewsAsia before they get approval to put their own news.
