Steven Charles Furniss (born December 21, 1952) is an American former swimmer, Olympic medalist and former world record-holder.[1] At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany, he won the bronze medal in the men's 200-meter individual medley. He attended Foothill High School in Santa Ana, California. His brother Bruce Furniss also competed as an Olympic swimmer.
As of 2009[update], Furniss is the executive vice president of the swimsuit company TYR, which Furniss co-founded.[2]
