On 2 December 2011, UTV Movies launched in Canada on Rogers Cable via a partnership with Soundview Broadcasting. The channel subsequently shut down in December 2012. It is expected to re-launch in Canada in 2014 via a partnership with Asian Television Network.[1] UTV Movies International officially launched in Canada on Bell Fibe TV on 17 July 2014.
In the United States, UTV Movies International is available on DirecTV[2] (Since 2009) and Time Warner Cable.
The channel launched on Sky in the UK and Ireland on 12 December 2011.[3] In the region the channel is known as UMP Movies (UTV Motion Pictures Movies) due to legal issues over the UTV brand, which is already in use by the Northern Irish broadcaster UTV Media in Europe.[4] A launch on Freesat followed on 8 February 2012, however the channel was removed from the platform on 7 February 2013.[5][6] UMP Movies also launched on Virgin Media on 18 December 2012.[7]
