The Varney School is a historic school building at 84 Varney Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. The 2-1/2 story red brick building was built in 1890 and expanded in 1914-15; it was designed by Frederick Stickney of Lowell, Massachusetts. The original 1890 structure has a cross plan with shallow east and west wings, with a projecting entry pavilion to the north. The south wing, originally a single story, was raised to two stories in the 1915 addition. The building was named for Manchester mayor David Blake Varney.[2]
The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.[1]
