The original name of the company is Prague Game Studios,[5] a company which uses Warhorse as a trademark. Renaming the company itself to Warhorse was expected and happened on July 8, 2014.[6] At the end of 2011, ownership equity of PGS amounted to CZK 240 thousand (3% of assets).[7] As of October 2, 2014, ownership equity of Warhorse Studios s.r.o. is 200.000,- CZK with shares distributed as follows: Zdeněk Bakala 70%, Daniel Vávra 17%, Martin Klíma 13%.[8]

Upcoming projects

The studio is currently developing Kingdom Come: Deliverance, an open-world historical role-playing game. The game runs on CryEngine 3[9] and aims for PC and next generation consoles (mentioned as being the Xbox One and PlayStation 4). The story of this game takes place in central Bohemia and begins in 1403. The game was slated for a Q2/Q3 release in 2016, but has been delayed until 2017.[10]
