Wolf Racing Cars is an Italian racing car constructor based in the Province of Brescia. It was founded in 2009 after Avelon Formula purchased the rights of Walter Wolf Racing.[1]

History

After Avelon Formula purchased the rights of Walter Wolf Racing the team focused on producing a championship winning Group CN car. In 2010 factory team Avelon Formula made its debut in the Italian Prototype Championship. Driver Ivan Bellarosa won the cars debut race. Ivan Bellarosa won the championship.

For 2011 Wolf made its European debut, being entered in the Speed EuroSeries and the V de V Proto Endurance Series, as well as the Italian Prototype Championship. The Honda K20A powered Wolf GB08 won the Speed EuroSeries championship. The car was entered by Avelon Formula and was driven by Ivan Bellarosa. Bellarosa won al 6 races in the championship.

Ivan Bellarosa, driving a Wolf GB08, won the Speed EuroSeries championship again in 2012. Wolf racing cars also entered endurance races like the 24 Hours of Zolder and the 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi.

In 2013 Wolf Racing cars announced they would enter the United Sports Car Racing in 2014. The car will be fitted a BMW engine.[2]
