Wulong Xiannüshan Airport (Chinese: 武隆仙女山机场) is an airport planned for construction. Once built it will serve Wulong, a county of China's Chongqing municipality. The airport will be located in the town of Xiannüshan (仙女山), 43 kilometers from the urban center of Wulong, and will mainly serve tourists visiting the Wulong Karst landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2014 and last for three years, with an estimated total investment of 1.333 billion yuan.[1][2]
Facilities
Wulong Xiannüshan Airport will have a 2,800-meter-long runway (class 4C), and will occupy an area of 3,476 mu.[1]
